Lynette graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1993 and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of Singapore in 1994.

After starting legal practice in the Real Estate department of Rodyk & Davidson, she gained much of her legal experience as an in-house Legal Counsel and Company Secretary firstly at a SGX-listed insurance company, and later at a global company founded in 1910.

Based in Singapore as the Regional Head of Legal and Regional Company Secretary of the Sime Darby group, Lynette oversaw legal and compliance matters across the APAC region, namely in Singapore, Australia and New Zealand. Her responsibilities covered more than 50 companies in the Asia Pacific.

She has cross-border commercial, corporate, governance and compliance professional knowledge in the heavy equipment, motor, property and hospitality sectors, to name a few. Whether dealing with a “business as usual” matter, a unique commercial transaction or a strategic compliance issue, Lynette combines her legal and business skills to provide pragmatic and easy to understand advice.

• Advising and negotiating in sale, purchase, lease and management of commercial property transactions.

• Overseeing corporate secretarial matters in Singapore, Thailand, Australia & New Zealand.

• Designing and implementing post-Merger & Acquisition and Joint Venture integration of legal and compliance policies.

• Designing and implementing internal corporate re-organisation exercises.

• Designing and implementing group-wide corporate governance and compliance protocols.
